School Council

Our School Council members are responsible for giving all pupils a voice and leading our school forward, making it the best school it can be. We believe in actively working to make the world a better place.

Our new Council members were elected by their peers based on their pledge towards school improvement. They wrote an application form and delivered a speech to their class who then voted for them.

As a team we meet regularly to make important decisions about key issues in school, the local community and the wider world. We are responsible for gathering the views of our peers as well as suggesting brilliant ideas of our own and making sure they come to fruition.

The role of our School Councillors

  • To express both their own views and those of other children
  • To attend regular meetings
  • To help make positive changes
  • To represent our school in the wider community

Our School Council members…

  • are respectful and listen to others
  • contribute and participate actively in meetings
  • follow the school rules and are role models to other pupils
  • model good behaviour at all times
  • are polite and courteous to others
